Gary Blake Blatchford
Gary Blake Blatchford, 70, passed away October 19, 2013, at his home in Tucson, Arizona. He was born October 17, 1943, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, to Donald Blake and Persis (Hatch) Blatchford.Gary graduated in 1963 from Tecumseh High School, enjoyed farming and horses, and pursued his passion for the “Big Rigs” working as a certified diesel mechanic and driving semi trucks.He remained in the Tecumseh area until moving to Tucson in 1991. Gary married Suelyn Lipp Davis on August 12, 1978. He is survived by his wife, Susie; three sons, Martin Blake (Heather) Blatchford of Running Springs, Calif., Joshua and Jacob Blatchford of Tucson; and three granddaughters, Jenna and Cora Blatchford of Running Springs, Calif., and Savannah of Tucson; step-son, Jason Davis of Mich.; brother, Mark Blatchford of S.C.; aunt, Beth Hatch of Tecumseh, and several nephews and cousins. Gary was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and brother, Leland, in infancy.A memorial service will be held in Clinton, Michigan, at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013 at the Riverside Chapel. With burial in the Riverside Cemetery, Clinton.
