Geraldine E. Brion

Geraldine E. Brion, age 88, of Tecumseh, passed away Sept. 6, 2012.Geraldine was born May 9, 1924 in Detroit, Mich. the daughter of Clifton and Marie (Hagen) Jarboe.In 1943 she married Harold G. Brion and he preceded her in death.Geraldine was a 1942 graduate of St. Mary's Catholic School, Adrian, graduating as valedictorian of her class. A resident of Orchard Terrace for 17 years, she enjoyed doing their flower arrangements, decorating and spent many happy hours playing cards with her friends. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be greatly missed by her family.Geraldine was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Tecumseh.Geraldine is survived by her sons, Gene (Janet) Brion of Adrian, Mich., Kenneth (Linda) Brion of Tecumseh, Mich., and Gary (Chris) Brion of Jackson, Mich; daughter, Joanne (Robert) Kress of Hudson, Mich; brother, Martin (Anita) Jarboe of Adrian; sisters, Maggie Morgan of Leesburg, Fla., Annie (Bill) Garrison of Sacramento, Ca., Pat (Dale) Caldwell of Naples, Fla., and Barbara (Nelson) Bills of Ithaca, NY; six grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.In addition to her husband, Harold, she was preceded in death by her parents; infant son, Gerald and siblings, Joseph, Margaret and Lucille.Funeral services were held at 3 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012 at the J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh, with Deacon James Nicholson officiating. Burial followed in St. Dominic Cemetery, Clinton.Visitation was from 1-3 p.m., prior to the funeral service Saturday, Sept. 9, 2012 at the funeral home.
