Glenda Faye House

Glenda Faye House, age 83 of Tecumseh, died August 11, 2019 at home with her family by her side. She was born March 1, 1936 in Akron, Ohio, the daughter of late Clarence and Bessie (Rogers) Bivens. She was married to David House on February 12, 2006, he preceded her in death on September 9, 2010.

Glenda worked for 27 years as a bookkeeper for Knox County Department of Human Services.

She was a member of the former First Baptist Church of Tecumseh, Eastern Star dual member in Tecumseh and Mt. Vernon, Ohio. Glenda was also a member of The Ladies Monday Club and the PEO. Her passion in life was reading the Bible, family and friends, butterflies, and playing games online with her friends.

Glenda is survived by her children, Richard (Teresa) Martin of Mt. Vernon, Ohio, Shelly (Rick) Terrell, Westerville, Ohio, Terry (Robert) Thomas, Centerburg, Ohio, and Mary Vance, Tecumseh; step-children, Carolyn House of Newhall, Calif. and Dr. Kathryn (Frank) Mangone of Hillendale, Calif.; 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild on the way. She was preceded in death by her daughters Kimberlie Fultz, Carla Proper, and Kelly Vance.

An Eastern Star Service for Glenda will be on Saturday, Aug. 17, 2019 at 6 p.m. at the Tecumseh Missionary Baptist Church with a Celebration of Life Service immediately following with Pastor Brian Jones officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Lenawee. Arrangements are under the care of the Tecumseh Chapel of Handler Funeral Home.
