Gregory A. “Greg” Fuchs

Gregory A. “Greg” Fuchs, age 66, of Clinton passed away October 27, 2013. He was born January 9, 1947, in St. Louis, Mo., the son of Martin and Shirley (Swahlsted) Fuchs. He married Beverly Phillips on October 3, 1969 in Jackson, Mich., and she survives.Greg was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp. Serving his country during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Patriot Guard in Michigan and Florida. Greg worked as a Pipefitter for Ford Motor Company at the Rawsonville Plant for almost 40 years before his retirement in 2004. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, woodworking, competitive shooting, bicycling, and was an avid hunter. He was a member of the International Defensive Pistol Association and the Amputee Coalition of America. He loved to travel, especially on his motorcycle where he and his wife were able to ride across all 50 states, Canada and Mexico. Greg especially enjoyed the time spent with his wife, daughter, nieces and nephews.In addition to his wife Beverly, he is survived by his daughter Angela (Roger) Snyder of Onsted; his brother Scott Fuchs of Orlando, Fla.; and his sister Cynthia (Robert) Modras of Plymouth. Greg was preceded in death by his parents.A memorial service for Greg was held on Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013, at 2 p.m. at the Tecumseh Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes with Pastor Tom Hawkins of NewSong Community Church officiating. The family received friends from 1 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
