Gregory M. Henricks

Gregory Mark Henricks, age 64 of Harper Woods passed away Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2018 at Ascension St. John Hospital. He was born July 22, 1954 in Tecumseh, the son of Gerald and Lois (Fatchett) Henricks.

Gregory graduated from Tecumseh High School in 1972 and went on to work in quality control. When he was at Meyers Industries in Tecumseh he helped to organize and write the bylaws for the union.

Gregory loved all sports, watching any sport, but especially loved the Tigers and Michigan State. In his younger days he enjoyed playing softball and was one of people that helped to organize soccer in Tecumseh. When he lived in Columbus, he coached basketball at the YMCA. He loved touring the country on his motorcycle with his buddies and especially going to Cooperstown to the Hall of Fame. Gregory will be remembered by those who loved him as a helper and giver. His final act as a helper and giver was donating his organs to Gift of Life.

Gregory is survived by his mother, Lois Masouris of Roanoke, Va.; two sons, Eric Henricks of Plymouth and Isaac (Michelle) Henricks of Tecumseh; his siblings, Geoffrey (Cindy) Henricks and Gene Henricks both of Pinckney, Jan (Mike) Dilling of Roanoke, Va., Beth (Matt) Richardson of Harper Woods and Annette (Ron) Aubuchon of Dearborn Heights; and one granddaughter, Annabel Henricks. He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Henricks and stepfather, Danny Masouris.

Visitation for Gregory was held on Friday, Dec. 7, 2018 at the Tecumseh Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes. A memorial mass was held on Saturday at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church with Rev. Daniel Wheeler as celebrant.

Inurnment was in Lenawee Hills Memorial Gardens in Tecumseh. Condolences may be offered to the family at handlerfuneralhomes.com
