H. Dean Moore, age 78, of Harlingen, Texas, formerly of Onsted, Mich., passed away unexpectedly on his way back to Texas on September 10, 2014.He was born September 12, 1935 in Ypsilanti, Mich., the son of Hamilton F. and Mildred M. (Bruder) Moore.On November 26, 1955 he married Mary Lou Alderdyce and she survives.Dean was a member of Tecumseh Masonic Lodge No. 69 F. & A.M. where he was a Past Master. He was also was a member and four-time Past Patron of Tecumseh Chapter Eastern Star No. 51. Dean was a member of Jackson Shrine Club, Jackson, Mich., and Rio Grande Valley Shrine Club, LaFeria, Texas. He was retired from Ford Motor Company where he was employed as a truck driver.In addition to his wife Mary Lou, he is survived by two daughters, Deborah (Sylvester) Van Horn and Meg (Dave) Sisty; son, Perry Dean Moore (W.J. Morris); four grandchildren, Karrie, Amber, Kevin, and Khandi; three great-grandchildren, Katie, Gavin, and Leo; and brother, Richard (Marilyn) Moore.He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Donald Moore.Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 18, 2014 at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh with Ed Clark officiating. Interment will follow at Macon Cemetery.Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh, with a Masonic Service by Tecumseh Masonic Lodge No. 69 F.&A.M. beginning at 7 p.m.An additional visitation will be held on Thursday from 12 p.m. until time of funeral service.Memorial contributions may be directed to Shriner’s Children’s Hospital.
