Harrison Porter Bailey
Harrison Porter Bailey, 87, of Alma, Ark., died Monday, August 27, 2012, in a local nursing home.He was born June 23, 1925, in Fairfield, Mich., the son of Harrison and Lulu (Palmer) Bailey. Harrison worked for Johnny Underwood as an auto mechanic, then went to work for Revlco where his brother Paul worked, before moving his family to Hudson in 1956 and went to farming full time. Harrison was a member of the Methodist Church in Ridgeway. He was preceded in death by his wife of 36 years, Dorothy Jean Bailey. He is survived by a daughter, Judy Ann Orfait of Alma, Ark; a son, James Bailey and his wife Mary Bailey of Hudson; grandchildren Brian Stephenson, Beth Stevens, Terri Kaczor, Tracey Pawczuk, Tammy Blair, Todd Bailey and Tricia Bailey and fourteen great-grandchildren: Brandon, Megan, Blake, Sydney, Chase, Bailey, Greyson, Easton, Emerson, Jared, Rylan, Ellie Maie, James and Owen.The body was cremated. Graveside services will be held Saturday, Sept. 8, at 2 p.m. at Ridgeway Cemetery in Ridgeway, Mich.
