Helen M. Miller

Helen M. Miller, age 81, of Tecumseh, passed away June 29, 2020 at home with her family and neighbor at her side. Helen was born February 28, 1939 in Detroit, Ala., the daughter of William Cary and Mary Lou (Rich) Cook.

On August 26, 1961 she married Robert Leslie Miller in Blissfield, Mich. He preceded her in death on January 7, 1998.

Helen was a graduate of Adrian High School, Class of 1958. She was a member of the Tecumseh Freewill Baptist Church. Helen did in home childcare, for many years. She was a morning cook at Tecumseh Big Boy for two years and retired from Tecumseh McDonalds, Jenelle Corporation after 30 years of service.

Helen is survived by two daughters, Belinda Miller and Wanda Miller; grandson, Devon Robert (Shannon) Walterschied; great-grandson,  Alexander; two sisters, Edith (Harold) Baldwin and JoAnne (Mike) Wusthoff;  sister-in-law, Dolly Cook; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Robert, she was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Charles Cook, Cornelius Cook, Hoyt Cook and William C. Cook, Jr.; and sister, Geraldine Warren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 3, at Tecumseh Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Gene Hurley officiating. Interment will follow at Lenawee Hills Memorial Park, Adrian. 

 
Visitation will also take place on Friday, July 3, from 10 a.m. until time of service at the church.
