Indian runners tripped by Chelsea, Adrian

Tecumseh’s varsity girls and boys track teams were defeated by Chelsea on Tuesday, April 30. The Indians girls lost 98-39 while the boys lost 96-41.Top three place winners for the boys included John Terry (1st, 100m dash, 11.92) 800-meter relay team (1st, 1:35.31), Tom Mammel (1600m, 3rd, 4:49.6), Sage Rebottaro (400m, 2nd, 53.49), Gabe Lopez (300m hurdles, 3rd, 43.14), Drake VanDenBerg (800m, 2nd, 2:09.6), Luke Marston (200m, 1st, 24.34), Wyatt Cadmus (200m, 3rd, 25.83), Kyle Bryan (discus, 3rd, 119’ 5,” shot put, 2nd, 39’6 ½”), Alex Spiteri (shot put, 3rd, 39’6”), Matt O’Leary (high jump, 1st, 5’9”), Dakota Gonzales (high jump, 2nd, 5’2”), Luke Marston (long jump, 2nd, 17’2 ½”) and Nick Schnur (pole vault, 3rd, 13’6”).Finishing first for Tecumseh’s girls were: Alexi Schnur (100m hurdles, 16.7), Nicole Lipnichan (300m hurdles, 51.4), Peyton Hertel (shot put, 27’10.25”), and the 800-meter relay team (Chloe Stitt, Kassidy Connors, Nicole Cote, Lipnichan, 1:57.91).Finishing second were Page Cadmus (100m, 13.86), Chloe Stitt (200m, 29.8), Kelsey Randolph (discus, 75’5”) and Savannah Gilgallon (shot put, 26’3”).Placing third were Nicole Cote (100m hurdles, 18.23), Hannah Weatherford (1600m, 6:23), Katie Kasper (400m, 1:06), Nicole Cote (300m hurdles, 54.71), Kendra Randolph (3200m, 13:52), Page Cadmus (long jump, 13’7”) and Ashley Kimmit (pole vault, 7’).On Tuesday, May. 7, the Indians hosted Adrian. The Indians’ girls lost 79-54 and the boys lost 85-52.Placing for Tecumseh’s girls were: Ashley Kimmett, in the pole vault (7’3”); Alexi Schnur, in the 100-meter hurdles (16.71); Lipnichan, in the 300-meter hurdles (49.64); Katie Kasper, in the 800-meter run (2:39.97) and the Indians 1,600-meter relay (5:46.43).Placing second were: Randolph, in the discus (77’3”); Diamond Tirado, in the shot put (31’3”); Lipnichan, in the 100-meter hurdles (17.91); Hannah Weatherford, in the 1,600-meter run (6:14.3); Nicole Cote, in the 300-meter hurdles (51.76); and Kelsey Hammer, in the 3,200-meter run.Finishing first for Tecumseh’s boys were: Jared Kimmitt, in the pole vault (13’6”); Matt O’Leary, in the high jump (5’10”); Alex Spiteri, in discus (113’9”) and shot put (43’); and Dakota Gonzales, in the 300-meter hurdles (41.55).Placing second were: Nick Schnur, in the pole vault (13’6”); Gonzales, in the high jump (5’8”) and 100-meter hurdles (16.58); John Terry in the 100-meter dash (11.82); Mammel, in the 1,600-meter run (4:49.83); Silas Rebottaro, in the 400-meter dash (54.36); Drake Vandenberg, in the 800-meter run (2:05.82); and Jeff Case, in the 3,200-meter run (12:14.98).
