Jack L. Hallenbeck

Jack L. Hallenbeck, 84, formerly of Tecumseh, died Sunday, April 19, 2015, in Fort Myers, Fla.He was born November 13, 1930, in Adrian, Mich., the son of Charles and Marian Hallenbeck. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorice Hallenbeck, his parents and two brothers.He was an Air Force Veteran and lived in the Tecumseh area for 60 years and retired from Tecumseh Products and worked for Enterprise car rental until 2011, when he moved to South Carolina. Jack is survived by his two sons, Steve Hallenbeck and his wife Jacky of Cape Coral, Fla., and Larry Hallenbeck of Upper Black Eddy, Pa.; two grandsons, Jason and Dustin, one sister, Mrs. Marvin (Barbara) Prielipp of Deerfield, Mich., and one sister-in-law, Mrs. Robert (Lilly) Sweets of Ocala, Fla. A Memorial Service will be held at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home in Tecumseh on May 16 from 3 to 5 pm. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of South Carolina (www.alz.org/sc/) or Hospice (www.hospicenet.org).
