James “Ron” Scott

James “Ron” Scott, age 86, of Adrian, passed away Saturday, April 19, 2014. He was born April 21, 1927, in Toledo, Ohio, to James and Cleah M.B. (McClure) Scott. Ron served in the U.S. Navy. He married Harriet Whitburn, she preceded him in death in 1991. He then married Wilma Jane Hill and she preceded him in death in 2010. Ron was a retired Trade Tool and Die Maker. Ron is survived by three sons, Jeffrey Ronald (Maryanne) Scott of Minneapolis, Minn., James Steven Scott of Grass Lake, Mich., and Henry Woodward (Krista) Scott of Waxhaw, N.C.; two daughters, Deborah (Robert) Meister of Clare, Mich., and Sally (Thomas) Graf of Adrian, Mich.; a daughter-in-law, Dorothy Johnson of Indian River, Mich.; 17 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren. In addition to his wives, he was preceded in death by his parents, and one son, James Elwood French. Funeral services for Ron will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Anderson Funeral Home with Pastor Dave Morton officiating. Burial will be in Hocking Cemetery, in McClure, Ohio. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2014 from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home, Adrian.Memorial contributions may be made to the Church of the Brethren. Envelopes are available at the Anderson Funeral Home, Adrian.
