Janet Corwin

Janet Corwin, 89, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on May 31, 2018. She was born on October 18, 1928 to Clyde and Maude Greenfield. Janet graduated from Clinton High school in 1946. She then went on to cosmetology school in Ann Arbor and was a beautician in her community for years.

She married the love of her life, Donald Corwin, on July 31, 1948 and they were happily married for 69 years. They have five children Gary (Deb) Corwin of Grayling, Linda (Don) Cochran of Brooklyn, Wendell (Karen) Corwin of Chapel Hill, N.C., Warren (Ramona) Corwin of Allen, Texas and Fran (Todd) Heilmann of Clinton. They have 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren that surrounded her with love.

She was a great contributor to her community and her church family was a very important part of her life. She was a great loving mother, grandmother and sister and will be sadly be missed by all. She is also survived by one sister, Marjorie (Tom) Judge of New London, N.H.  Janet was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, four brothers, two nieces and two nephews.

Visitation for Janet will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, June 3, 2018 at the Clinton Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday at the United Church of Christ in Clinton with Rev. Diane White officiating, with visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
