Jessena (Jessie) Lynch

Jessena (Jessie) Lynch, age 75, of Tecumseh, passed away September 12, 2013 at her home surrounded by her family and under the care of Hospice of Lenawee. Jessie was born July 22, 1938 in Grand Haven, Mich., the daughter of Cottrell and Sena Reed. Her family moved to Gaylord, Mich., in 1946 where she graduated from Gaylord High School in 1956. In 1958 she married John (Jack) Lynch in a Catholic ceremony and they lived in the Gaylord area with their three children until 1966. From there they moved to Paw Paw, Mich., until moving to Tecumseh in 1970. Jack and Jessie were able to spend many winters in a retirement community in Winter Haven, Fla.She retired young from Kroger's and was able to enjoy a lot of golfing, reading, working outdoors, bowling, bridge, traveling the U.S.A., antiquing and socializing. Jessie is survived by her husband, John (Jack); sons, Steven (Lynette) and Jeff (Donna) Lynch; daughter, Jackie (Mark) Carpenter; grandchildren, Derrick, Jason, Jeremy, Zachary, Jacob, Sarah and Angela and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.Per Jessie's request there will be no public services. To celebrate her life there will be an open house gathering for family and friends, 1 to 4 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013 at her home.Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Lenawee or any Alzheimer's Association.Messages to the family may be made online at www.pursefuneralhome.com.
