Jocelynn Claire Barritt

Jocelynn Claire Barritt, age 86, of Tecumseh, died Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013, at Lenawee Medical Care Facility. She was born February 6, 1927, in Tecumseh to John Harold and Anna Wilhelmina (Lentz) Anderson. On July 29, 1948, she married Seymour Cortland Barritt and he preceded her in death on April 13, 1989.Jocelynn is survived by a son, Jeffrey Barritt of Adrian; a daughter, Margaret (Robert) Guy of Adrian; a brother, Harold (Nancy) Anderson of Clark Lake, Mich.; four grandchildren, Alyson McCarty, Erin (Charlie) Solis, William Guy and Katie (Jacob) Gibson; and five great-grandchildren, Caleb, Noah and Mya Solis and Eloise and Alex Gibson. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, John Anderson, and three sisters, Wilhelmina Retter, Julia Johnston, and Elizabeth Filter.The Funeral Liturgy was held on Monday, Oct. 14, 2013, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father David Hudgins as celebrant. Burial was in Brookside Cemetery. Visitation was held on Monday from 9-9:45 a.m. prior to the funeral liturgy at St. Joseph Catholic Church.Condolences may be sent to the family at www.andersonfuneralservices.com.Memorial contributions may be made to Lenawee Medical Care Facility Heatherwood Hall or the Garden Room.
