John Edward Boldon

John Edward Boldon, age 96, of Brooklyn, formerly of Tecumseh, passed away January 21, 2014 in Las Vegas, Nev. under the care of Hospice. John was born May 27, 1917 in Dunston-On-Tyne, England, the son of John and Margaret Boldon. In 1949, he married Dolores Marr of Brooklyn, in Angola, Ind.John was a lifetime member of the American Legion in Tecumseh and the Royal Arch Masons of Michigan, Tecumseh Chapter Ram No. 42. He served four years in the U.S. Army and received the following battle participation awards; Bronze service stars for Campaign “Normandy,” “N. France,” Ardennes,” “C. Europe” and “Rhineland.” He received the good conduct medal and the Unit Meritorious Service Sleeve Insignia. He retired from the Tecumseh Products after 32 years. John enjoyed time with his family, traveling and bingo!In addition to his wife, Dolores, he is survived by his children, John Boldon, Robert Terry (Vicki) Boldon, Margaret (Vern Osenbaugh) Boldon and Michael Boldon; grandchildren, Jason, Jodi, Jessica and Stephanie and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Frances.Memorial services will be 12 p.m. Friday, June 13, 2014 at the Masonic Lodge, 700 Bishop Reed Rd., Tecumseh, with Charles Williams officiating. Visitation will be at 11 a.m., also on Friday, one hour preceding the service.
