John J. Ryan
John J. Ryan, age 67, of Tecumseh, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013. He was born on September 6, 1946 in New York, N.Y., the son of Edward and Catherine (Coyle) Ryan. He married his best friend, Anne Flora on November 28, 1992.He was general manager at the Executive Residence at U of M Business School until he retired in 2006. He enjoyed traveling the world with his wife and sampling gourmet and exotic cuisine along the way. He also spent time working on computers, designing web pages and was a supporter of Anne’s Fiber Arts career. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all those who knew and loved him.In addition to his wife Anne, he is survived by one brother Will Ryan of Ft. Meyers, Fla.; three sisters, Jean (Frank) Licitra and Margaret (Terry) Foor, both of Ft. Meyers, Fla., and Kathy (Jim) French of Oregon and three nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Edward.At John’s request, cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will take place at a later date.
