June G. Robison

June G. Robison of Naples, Fla., formerly of Tecumseh, Mich., died on January 30, 2015. She was 96 years old. June was born on October 11, 1918 in Lansing, Mich., the daughter of Ray Heath and Nina McClure-Heath. Due to her father’s death, the family moved to the old homestead in Tecumseh when June was eight years old. It had been built by her grandfather after he immigrated from Ireland and has been declared a historic home.June grew up in Tecumseh and enjoyed swimming, often telling stories about going to the quarry in the summer. In high school she and Bobby Robison began dating. After high school graduation, June went to business college returning to work as a teller at a local bank. She and Bob Robison were married on September 1, 1940.While raising their two sons, Michael and Jeffrey, June enjoyed playing golf, bridge and square dancing. In 1981 June and Bob retired to Naples, Fla., enjoying life and their family. Later in life, June enjoyed watching professional sports particularly golf and football. Being from Michigan, Tom Brady was her favorite to win Super Bowl 49. After Bob passed in 2008, June remained active in her condo only moving to independent/assisted living in August 2014.June is survived by two sons, Michael (Janet) Robison of Naples, Fla., and Jeffrey (Kathleen) Robison of Vonore, Tenn.; three grandchildren, Adrienne (Terry) Lindgren of Naples, Fla., Samuel (Blythe) Robison of Jacksonville, Fla., and Benjamin (Briana) Robison of Loudoun, Tenn.; and two great-grandchildren, Sarah Lindgren and McClure Robison.Donations in June’s memory may be made to any animal rescue group or a charity of choice.
