Keith Eldon Swain

Keith Eldon Swain, age 77, went to be with the Lord on December 6, 2013 at 8 p.m., at the VA Hospital in Ann Arbor, Mich. He was born in Hillsdale, Mich., on Jan. 2,1936, the son of Edwin and Daisey (Leeder) Swain. He enjoyed all sports especially baseball. He was particularly fond of The Michigan State Spartans and the Detroit Tigers. He coached little league baseball for many years winning 14 city championships in Tecumseh and Adrian, including one with his son Brian and the Knights Point Grocery in 1981. He worked at the Tecumseh Products Co. from 1968-1995 (retired). He proudly served in the U.S. Army in Korea from 1954-1957 and enjoyed his daily lunches with his fellow veterans at the Tecumseh V.F.W. post 4187. He is survived by his son Brian (Heather) Swain of Clinton, Mich., his brother Myles (Sylvia) Swain of Fayette, N.C. and many beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother John (Cherie) Swain of Hillsdale, Mich., and his daughter Adrienne Swain of Clinton, Mich.A memorial service is being held at the Grace United Methodist Church 9250 E. Monroe Rd, Britton, MI 49229, on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013 at 1 p.m., with Pastor Richard Burstall officiating.
