Ken Richard named MHSAA Coach of Year

Tecumseh High School’s varsity girls bowling coach Ken Richard was recently named as Coach of the Year by the Michigan High School Coaches Association (MHSA) for the 2011-12 season. The 54th annual coach of the year banquet is being held on Sunday, Nov. 4, at the Ramada Lansing Hotel and Conference Center in Lansing Michigan off I-96 exit 93 East. The banquet begins at 12:30 p.m.Coach Richard and the girls bowling team won a league and regional championship last season and earned a state runner up finish at the MHSAA State Championships and had an individual state champion as well. During his tenure Coach Richard lead the varsity girls bowling team to three team state championships and a runner up finish. He has also coached three individual state champions and two Miss Bowling recipients for the State of Michigan. “Congratulations to Coach Ken Richard on this award as it is well deserved,” said Tecumseh High School Athletic Director/Assistant Principal Casey Randolph.
