Larry Cy Sebring

Larry Cy Sebring, age 65, passed away on May 15, 2016 at his residence under Hospice of Lenawee with his loving family by his side. He was born on June 27, 1950 in Tecumseh, Mich., the son of Claude and Ardith (Baily) Sebring.

Larry was employed at the Dexter Wastewater Treatment Plant as a water treatment specialist. He served his country proudly during the Vietnam War in the U.S. Air Force. He loved watching all Detroit sport teams and old western movies. Larry enjoyed riding his Harley, playing guitar, hunting and gardening. His faith for God was very important to him. He never knew a stranger, as he was always helping someone. Music was a big part of his life, and his dogs over the years were vital to Larry. He was an exceptional dad, grandpa and husband who loved his time with his family and playing with his grandchildren.

Larry is survived by his mother, Ardith Sebring of Tecumseh, Mich.; his loving children, Terri (William) Sebring of Brooklyn, Mich., Alex (Mark) Sebring of Adrian, Mich., Jennifer (Joshua) Williams of Cement City, Mich.; grandchildren Alexa, Jenna, Parker and Carter; his brothers David (Maureen) Sebring of Farmington Hills, Mich., and Lynn Sebring of Tecumseh, Mich.; and his former wife, Kim Sebring of Tecumseh, Mich.

He is preceded in death by his father, Claude Sebring; his sister Anita Stover and a sister-in-law, Kathy Sebring.

Cremation has taken place and a private graveside service with military honors will take place at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Lenawee, AMVets or St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
