Larry Paul LaVoy
Larry Paul LaVoy, age 54, of Brooklyn, passed away Monday, Sept. 12, 2016. He was born August 19, 1962 in Temperance, Mich., the son of the late Jesse and Harriet (Noble) LaVoy. On July 1, 2016, he married Dena Ott and she survives.
Along with his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Anna Harvey and Becca Darwin; step-sons, Ben and Bobby; grandchildren, Gavin and Zoey Darwin; niece, Tansie Dew; nephew, Doug Dew; as well as five siblings, Vicki (Terry) Boldon, Diane (Gary) Skeels, Debbie (Dave) Holtz, Frank (Julie Hawkins) LaVoy and Lisa (Kevin King) Hutchinson.
Larry graduated from Tecumseh High School and then from the U.S. Marine Corp. Larry enjoyed being in the construction business for most of his career. Larry had a special love for his stepson, Bobby, as well as his pets. He enjoyed his last few months with Dena, spending time out on the lake, enjoying the peace and beautiful sunsets.
Per Larry’s wishes, a private memorial service will be planned at a later date.
