Lawrence Evans Quigg

Lawrence Evans Quigg, age 75, of Clinton, died July 28, 2017 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 29, 1942, in Cass City, Mich., to Evans Reed and Eunice Faye (Osentoski) Quigg. He graduated in 1960 from the Sandusky, Mich., High School, from Ferris State University in 1966, with a BS in Business Advertising, and earned a MBA from Central Michigan University in 1968.  On September 30, 1995, he was married to Diana Kay (Green) Bashore, and she survives. Larry taught business, art and journalism at the senior high school in Ubly, Mich., from 1968-1970. He had been employed by the City of Saline in the Public Works and Parks Department, retiring in 1991.  He loved sports, especially Red Wings hockey, Tigers baseball, and Lions football.  He loved to do art work and dance. Larry was a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity and Eagles Aerie No. 2371 in Adrian, Mich.

In addition to his wife Diana, he is survived by his children, Todd (Karen) Quigg of Adrian, Mich., Melissa (Bruce) Withrow of Jenison, Mich., Tracy (Brian) Pritchard of Canton, Mich., and Dr. Troy (Pam) Quigg of San Antonio, Texas; grandchildren, Samantha of Adrian, Alec of Jenison, Ava of Canton, Chloe, Conner and Crosby of San Antonio; step-children, Scott, Faith and Blair Bashore all of Adrian, Mich.; three brothers, Michael (Lucy) Quigg of Grand Haven, Mich., James Quigg of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Patrick (Lucy) Quigg of Minneapolis, Minn.; step-grandchildren, James and Jackson Bashore, Jessica Bashore; step-great-grandchild, Zachary; several nieces and nephews and his former wife, Toni Tompsett Quigg of Tecumseh, Mich. 

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The Funeral Liturgy was offered Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2017 at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church presided by Father Daniel Wheeler.  Burial was in Brookside Cemetery.  Visitation was held Tuesday, August 1, 2017 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Tecumseh, where there was a Vigil Prayer Service held at 7:30 p.m. Visitation was also held from 10 to 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday, prior to the Funeral Liturgy at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Capuchin Soup Kitchen in Detroit or the Mary Knoll — Fathers and Brothers in Mary Knoll, New York. Envelopes are available at the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian.
