Leo J. “Buzz” Hoffman, Jr

Leo J. “Buzz” Hoffman, Jr., age 93, of Tecumseh, died Wednesday, April 11, 2017 at Provincial House in Adrian surrounded by his loving family.  He was born August 18, 1923, in Carleton, Michigan to Leo J. and Bibian (Dusseau) Hoffman.  He was married to Armella “Millie” Leibold on November 3, 1951 in Maybee, Michigan. She preceded him in death on August 28, 2015.  Leo had been employed by Tecumseh Products for 37 years.  He enjoyed fishing and tinkering with boat motors, but his greatest joy was his family.  He was a member of St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church.

He is survived by two daughters, Monica Irelan and her husband, Tim, of Tecumseh and Marie Steele and her husband, Mike, of California; three sons, Leo Gregory Hoffman and his wife, Cindy, of Tecumseh, Michael Hoffman and his wife, Marsha, of Clinton and Patrick Hoffman of Tecumseh; three sisters, Lillian Hoffman, Helen Wiegan, and Grace Yasmineh, all of California; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Katherine and Margaret; son, Jeffrey, and grandson, Jason.  The Hoffman family wants to express their gratitude and thanks to the loving caregivers at Herrick Manor, ProMedica Hospice, and Provincial House.

At Leo’s request, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be on Monday, April 17, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church from 4-7 p.m.  A memorial mass will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 beginning at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to the mass at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church with Fr. Dan Wheeler presiding. Burial of cremains will be in Brookside Cemetery. You may send condolences to the family at www.andersonfuneralservices.com.
