Leonard Arthur Steuwe

Leonard Arthur Steuwe, age 82, of Tecumseh, Mich., passed away on October 22, 2015, at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, Mich. He was born on November 6, 1932, the son of Henry and Clara (Helle) Steuwe in Petersburg, Mich. On May 1, 1976, he married Sandra Kay Bailey, and they shared 39 loving years together.

Leonard was a farmer, carpenter and retired from Adrian College after 20 years. He was a member of the Ridgeway Church of the Nazarene, a head usher for the church and church softball umpire for over 20 years. Member of the MARC group at the church and a former Cub Scout and cub master in Britton, Mich. Leonard will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Leonard is survived by his wife, Sandra; his children, Leonard A. (Pamela) Steuwe Jr. of Petersburg, Mich., Deborah L. Calvin of Phoenix, Ariz., Kimberly K. (Ron) Truitt of Westland, Mich., Michael T. (Patricia) Steuwe of Ridgeway, Mich., Donald E. (Rebel) Teboe of Macon, Mich., and Paul H. Teboe of Saline, Mich.; grandchildren, Terry, Leoni, Cristina, Jenessa, Erica, Rachel, Emily and Jacob; and great-grandchildren, Natalie and Nolan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers; Wesley and Willard Steuwe and a daughter-in-law, Sheila Steuwe.

Memorial Service for Leonard was held on Monday, Oct. 26, 2015, at the Ridgeway Church of the Nazarene at 11 a.m.
