LGBT community needs to repent sins like everybody else

To the Editor, I wanted to comment on a column written by Mary Kay McPartlin titled Legalized Intolerance Is Anti-American And Anti-Christian. The article was published Monday, April 6, 2015. I agree with her that legalized intolerance is anti-American and anti-Christian. I agree with her that Jesus would accept unconditionally the LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bi-sexual, Transgender) community. Where I disagree is that I believe Jesus would say to the LGBT community what He said to the woman caught in adultery that the crowd wanted to stone. “Go and sin no more.” Homosexuality is a sin. Leviticus 18:22 reads as follows, “Man shall not lie with a man as with a woman.” The article makes it seem as if Jesus would approve of their gay lifestyle and He does not approve. He would be going against the laws of God. The LGBT community would have to repent for their sins like everybody else who sins and accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.Julio CortezTecumseh
