Living in Lenawee Realty new Montalvo enterprise

The Montalvo Team is finally flying solo with its own realty company, Living in Lenawee Realty. Husband and wife team, Janis and Ed Montalvo, have been active Realtors in Lenawee County since 1996, working most recently with Foundation Realty.“We kicked it around for a long time,” said Janis. “The market has been phenomenal. We had our best year ever last year.”Encouraged by family and friends, the couple decided it was time to work for themselves. “For us our business is all referrals,” said Janis. “Our client base is very protective of us.”Now located in downtown Tecumseh in the Stimpson Building, 108 W. Chicago Blvd., they are enjoying their new real estate venture. The office with two desks is smaller than their previous location, but they like the intimacy of the space and the freedom of their own company.“It’s quiet,” Ed said. “You can get a lot done.”With all the digital technology involved in real estate, an office almost isn’t necessary. Living in Lenawee Realty will continue the Montalvo commitment to virtual tours and marketing on YouTube and social media. “You can’t sell houses sitting in an office,” said Janis. “It’s really business as usual.”Leaving Foundation Realty was a tough choice for the couple. “We left on great terms,” Janis said. “We have wonderful friends in real estate.”The couple is happy to be back in Tecumseh again. “It’s fun being downtown again,” said Janis.“It’s almost like being home,” Ed added. The Montalvo team continues to be active in the Tecumseh community. This year Living in Lenawee Realty will sponsor the photo booth at CISTA’s March Mingle, as well as being a sponsor for Downtown Divas and Celebrate Tecumseh.Although active in Tecumseh, the couple has experience with properties all over Lenawee County, and will help clients buy or sell homes anywhere.March 1 was the official first day for Living in Lenawee Realty. Ed and Janis look forward to many years of marketing homes and helping clients experience the excitement of closing on the perfect home.“When we first saw the sign, I couldn’t stop smiling,” said Janis. “We just love real estate.”Living in Lenawee Realty can be found online at www.lovelivinginlenawee.com, on Facebook at Love Living in Lenawee or by calling 517.403.6939.
