Mabel Louise Sparkman
Mabel Louise Sparkman, age 92, of Adrian, passed away on May 2, 2019, at Hospice of Lenawee Hospice Home. She was born on March 4, 1927, in Chillicothe, Miss., to Harley and Anna (McDaneld) Howard. On August 18, 1945, in Dearborn, she married John W. Sparkman and he preceded her in death on October 29, 2010.
Mabel is survived by one son, John Jr. (Terri) Sparkman; two daughters, Sherry Ann Sparkman and Brenda Sparkman; three grandchildren, Angela, John, and Craig; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, John, she was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Melvin and a sister, Dorhla.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 6, at the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian with Dr. David Fulks officiating. Burial will be in Cadillac Memorial Gardens West, Westland at a later date. Visitation for Mabel was also held on Monday at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian.
Condolences may be made to the family at andersonfuneralservices.com. Memorial contributions may be given to Hospice of Lenawee or to First Church of the Nazarene, Adrian. Envelopes are available at the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian.
