Manley Robert Robison

Manley Robert Robison, known as Butch, 72, Sumrall, Miss., passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2016. Manley was born in Saline, Mich., but lived in Sumrall, Miss., with his daughter, Shelly, and his grandchildren. Manley was a Marine Corps Veteran and served three tours for his country in the Vietnam War from 1963–1967. He grew up on the family farm, served in the Marine Corps and graduated from college to become a skilled trade carpenter.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 27 years, Francis Gale (Rooney) Robison; his parents, Manley and Helen (Goodin) Robison; his stepson, Randy Owens; and his great granddaughter, Grace Skeen.

He is survived by his daughter, Shelly (Henry) Atkins; his son, Robert (Michelle); his six grandchildren, Brandi, Dustin, Blaine, Shelbi, Fernando and Rolando; four great-grandchildren, Angel, April, Karli, and Anna; 10 siblings, Beulah, Bernice, Bonnie, Austin, John, Mary, Howard, Joan, Delores and David as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Manley’s life will be held on April 10, 2016 at 2 p.m. at the American Legion Hall in Saline, Mich.
