Marjorie Montella Burchett
Marjorie M. (Land) (Heflin) Burchett, age 94, of Tecumseh, passed away October 24, 2012.She was born in Missouri, the oldest of nine siblings, survived by three.Marjorie wore many “hats” in her lifetime, but most of all she was a loving mother and grandmother to many. She made a special imprint on our lives. After retiring from Adrian Training School, she and her husband, Roy, spent their winters in Pine Island, Fla.Marjorie is survived by her children, Jeanene (Wayne) Patton, J.C. (Barbara) Heflin and Kevin Roy (Laurie) Burchett; daughter in law, Melba Heflin; eight grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Burchett; son, Tim Heflin; granddaughter, Cathy Wyandt and parents, Alfred and Ruth (Shewmake) Land.A family memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012 at the Ridgeway Church of the Nazarene, Ridgeway with Rev. Ray Hansen officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Tecumseh.Memorial contributions may be made to the Tecumseh Public Library of Hospice of Lenawee.
