Mary Lee Barnhart

Mary Lee Barnhart, age 72, of Ypsilanti, formerly of Tecumseh, passed away Nov. 6, 2013, at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Ann Arbor, surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born June 9, 1941, in Tecumseh, the daughter of Lawrence and Harriet (Crampton) Packard. She was a graduate of Tecumseh High School and Siena Heights College. She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister that will be dearly missed. Mary was a caring person and mentor that wore many hats from being a cosmetologist to a substance abuse counselor.Mary is survived by her children, Barry (Tammy) Barnhart, Sherry Morris and Michael Barnhart; sister, Jean (Bernie) Elandt and eight grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Sherry.Funeral services will be 4 p.m. Monday, Nov. 11, 2013, at the J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh, with Pastor Jared Neimela officiating. Visitation will also be on Monday from 1 to 4 p.m. preceding the funeral.
