Maryann R. Habrick

Maryann Ruth Habrick, age 77 of Clinton passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2019 at the Hospice of Lenawee, Hospice Home with her family by her side. She was born October 17, 1942 in Manchester, the daughter of the late Wesley and Virginia Catherine (Kulenkamp) Proctor.   On October 2, 1982 in Clinton she married Carl Habrick and they have shared 37 years together.

Maryann graduated from Clinton High School in 1960. She was the owner and editor of The Clinton Local until she retired after 31 years. She was a member of the Clinton United Methodist Church and the Methodist Women’s Club. Maryann loved Clinton and was involved with the Clinton Fall Festival Committee and the Clinton Chamber. Collecting Coca Cola memorabilia was her lifelong passion. Her greatest love was for her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

Besides her husband, Carl, Maryann is survived by her children, Janet (Bernard) Morgan of Detroit, Virginia (Michael) Krauss of Clinton and Richard (Amy) Hilderley of Tecumseh; six grandchildren, Salena (Blayne) Tabor of Ypsilanti, Spencer (Sarah) Krauss of Portland, Ore., Taylor Krauss of Naples, Fla., Marlena Hilderley of Brooklyn, N.Y., Madison Hilderley of Bronson and Melanie Hilderley of Mt. Pleasant; two great-grandchildren, Fiona and Stella Tabor. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant brother, Ralph Proctor.

Visitation for Maryann will be on Friday, Dec. 6, from 9:30 a.m.–12 p.m. at the Clinton United Methodist Church. The funeral service will follow at 12 p.m. with Rev. Robert Blanchard officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Lenawee and the Clinton United Methodist Church. Arrangements are under the care of the Clinton Chapel of Handler Funeral Home. Condolences may be offered to the family at handlerfuneralhomes.com.
