Miles Quinn Root
Miles Quinn Root, age 9, passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2014 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 22, 2004 in Cadillac, Michigan to James and Nicole (McLain) Root. Miles had a love for camping, fishing, monkeys, anything to do with cows and Scooby-Doo. Miles was a sweet child who touched the lives of so many people in his life. He will be remembered for his smile, and the joy and love he brought to his family. Miles is survived by his parents, James and Nicole Root of Tecumseh; three brothers, Skyler, Ian and Seth Root all at home; grandmother, Deborah (James) Danilowicz of Trenton; uncles, Douglas (Melissa) McLain of McBain, Michigan and Gregory (Kris) McLain of Kalkaska and nine cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Daniel McLain.Funeral services for Miles were held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 10, 2014 at the Anderson Funeral Home, Tecumseh with Chaplain Paul Arnold officiating. Burial followed in Brookside Cemetery. Visitation was held on Sunday from 2-8 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home, Tecumseh. Condolences to the family may be sent online at www.andersonfuneralservices.com. In lieu of memorial contributions, visitors are asked to bring a stuffed animal in memory of Miles to be donated to Mott’s Children’s Hospital Oncology Division.
