Monica “Sharron” Schoenberger

Monica “Sharron” Schoenberger, age 75, of Tecumseh, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2018 at St. Joseph Hospital. She was born in Windsor, Ontario on December 12, 1943 a daughter of the late Alphonse S. and Patricia (Poisson) O’Connor. On October 3, 1964 she married Andrew Schoenberger and they have shared 54 years together. Sharron worked for 30 years as a systems analyst for Tecumseh Products. She loved playing bingo, cards, quilting and cooking but her greatest passion was watching her grandchildren play sports and spending time with them.

Along with her husband Andrew, Sharron is survived by her two sons, Michael Andrew Schoenberger of Ft. Myers, Fla., and David William (Merritt) Schoenberger of Tecumseh, Mich.; her siblings, Beverly (Tom) Francek of Troy, Mich., Robert Terry O’Connor of Ottawa, Ontario, Colleen (Richard) Kolowicz of Belle River, Ontario and Patricia Janet O’Connor of Santa Barbara, Calif.; three grandchildren, Kelsey Ranea, McKenna Leigh and Noah David Schoenberger. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Sally O’Connor.

A celebration of life for Sharron will be held on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2019 at 11 a.m. at the Tecumseh Chapel of Handler Funeral Home with Deacon Jim Nicholson officiating. A memorial visitation will take place on Friday, January 4, 2019 from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home and also from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday.
