Musgrove Evans Award recipients send thank yous, appreciation

To the Editor,We simply want to thank our wonderful family, dear friends, former colleagues, past Musgrove Evans Awards Recipients, Vicki Philo, Executive Director of the Tecumseh Area Chamber of Commerce, and its board of directors, ambassadors and staff for a wonderful evening celebrating what’s great about the community of Tecumseh, Thursday, June 27, at the Masonic! It’s an honor to represent Tecumseh’s excellent educators and all that is good about Tecumseh Public Schools. It’s a privilege to be members and supporters of the arts like Tecumseh Pops Orchestra and Community Chorus and the Tecumseh Center for the Arts. These institutions and organizations certainly help make Tecumseh a wonderful place to learn, live, perform, visit, and enjoy. We will always treasure the many special surprises, precious cards and notes received. Our family also enjoyed Cheryl’s awesome limo ride, Greg’s paparazzi, Jan’s gorgeous flowers, Karin’s drinks, and Sharon’s delicious buffet. Special thanks to Rev. Ken Boyd for his touching invocation, Bart Northrup who served as the witty Master of Ceremonies, and our enthusiastic speakers Pat Northrup, Mary Tommelien, Kristen Schick, Martha Melcher, and Jake Vanderlugt. Thanks also to Alissa Reeder and Brianne Nowak for their inspiring vocal tribute “For Good” from the musical “Wicked.” Special thanks to the Tribute presenters Shelly Lim, City of Tecumseh, Nancy Jenkins, State Representative, State of Michigan, and Musgrove Evans Award Presentation, Vicki Philo and Nick Handler. Additional thanks to Greg Brindamour, Jim Lincoln, Boy Scout Troop No. 632, Grey Fox Floral-Jan Fox, Muk’s Sports Pub-Karin Mukenstrum, Tecumseh Trolley and Limousine-Cheryl Pixley, Tecumseh Insurance Agency, Sweet Baker-Sharon Baker, and the Masonic for being a perfect venue. Even God crowned us all with a magnificent rainbow! Amazing! Continue to be active and celebrate Tecumseh!Tom and Jeanette Meyer2013 Musgrove Evans Award recipients
