Nancy Jean Orban

Nancy Jean Orban went to be with the Lord and husband John, February 14, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. 

She was born on January 18, 1943 to Edward and Virginia (Lavers) Stier, of St. Clair Shores.

Nancy was a 1961 graduate of Allen Park High School. She married the love of her life, John C. Orban, June 8, 1963 at Angelica Lutheran Church, in Allen Park. 

Nancy worked at Ford Motor Company in Food Service for over 20 years. She was a long time resident of Allen Park, until she and John moved to Tecumseh in 2005 to be closer to her family. While living in Allen Park she was an active member of Calvary Lutheran Church.

Nancy enjoyed bible study, camping, spending time at her lake cottage, quilting and sewing, playing cards and spending time with her Lunch Bunch buddies. She loved her grandchildren and enjoyed going to all of their events. She also enjoyed socializing with friends.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband and brother (Ronald Stier). 

She is survived by her children, David and Regina (Ranshaw) Orban of Marshall, Laura (Orban) and Rev. Gene Strattman of Chapin, Ill., Deborah (Orban) and Andrew Pidsosny of Temperance, Ohio; grandchildren Trae (Alyse), Thane and Tierra Orban, Jessica (Eric) Stock, Joseph Strattman, Andrew (Nicole), and Aaron Pidsosny, and Desiree (Tyler) Nagy; one great grandchild, Bentley Pidsosny; and one Brother, Larry Stier of Shreveport, La.

Visitation will take place Friday, Feb. 23, 2018 at Arthur Bobcean Funeral Flat Rock Chapel from 1-8 p.m.  The funeral service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 24, 2018 at Calvary Lutheran Church, Lincoln Park at 10 a.m. She will lie in state from 9 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be at Michigan Memorial Park following the funeral service. 

Memorials may be made to Calvary Lutheran Church or American Heart Association.
