Nathan L. Hawkins
Nathan L. Hawkins, 59, of Adrian passed away on Sunday, Aug. 11, 2013 at his home.Nathan was born on Jan. 11, 1954, in Tecumseh, to Lloyd and Virginia (Nortley) Hawkins. He graduated from Tecumseh High School in 1972, and went on to receive his journeyman mechanic training. Nathan worked at Tecumseh Products, Libby-Owens-Ford and Grand Court. Nathan loved spending time outdoors, especially riding his Harley with the love of his life, Kris Mills, and the Bruders.Nathan is survived by the love of his life, Kris Mills; siblings, Roger (Bonnie) Hawkins of Tecumseh, Robert (Diana) Hawkins of Lake, Mich., Richard (Lisa) Hawkins of Coolidge, Ariz., and Lula (Ed) Hyder of Adrian; stepdaughters, Kasey (Teddy) White, Kelley Merillat; four grandchildren; an honorary daughter, Jennifer Vincent; many nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.Nathan was preceded in death by his parents and one sister in infancy.At Nathan’s request his body has been donated to the University of Michigan.A memorial service will be held at Faith Baptist Church, 3625 Hunt Rd., Adrian on August 31, 2013 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lenawee County Mission, 227 N.
