New flagpole dedicated at Tecumseh Middle School
A new flagpole was dedicated on Monday morning, March 23, at Tecumseh Middle School (TMS) by Tecumseh’s American Legion Underwood-Orr Post 34 and Hall-Slater VFW Post 4187.An honor guard raised the donated flag. TMS Principal Rick Hilderley introduced staff that have military service and welcomed the American Legion and VFW members who attended. The old flagpole’s base was corroded and had to be replaced. The new flagpole was moved closer to the school near the carved statue of Tecumseh next to the middle school. When the flag was raised the middle school classes joined in and recited the Pledge of Allegiance.
