Patricia Ann McKeever

Patricia Ann McKeever (Pat Rupp), 78, of Tecumseh, Michigan, suffered a stroke on December 14, resulting from a brain aneurysm and passed away in Lakeland, Fla., on January 11, 2018.

Pat was cared for by an amazing team of doctors and nurses at Lakeland Regional Medical Center and the caring hands of Cornerstone Hos-pice.

Pat was the daughter of Glen and Mildred Rupp, born on May 23, 1939 at the farm house of her maternal grandparents, Charles and Gladys in Stryker, Ohio.

Pat graduated from Tecum-seh High School in 1957.  In 1960, Pat was introduced to Gerald (Jerry) McKeever, on a blind date by friends; they were married November 10, 1962.

Pat is survived by her husband Jerry and their children, Michael of Toledo, Ohio,

Kendra Renner of Tecumseh, and Aaron of Seattle, Wash., her sister Shirley (Terry) Sisty of Tecumseh and her only grandchild, Trevor Renner, the light of her life.

Pat was preceded in death

by her parents and infant son Kevin. Pat was the neighborhood “mom” allowing her “children” to play their rock music at high volumes and was known to sing and dance along.  It was a common occurrence for her children to hear AC/DC playing as they made their way home from the bus stop after school.  Even as she “aged” she still loved to listen to classic rock and while in Hospice Care her children played songs as she moved along to the music.

Pat and Jerry were snowbirds, wintering in Lakeland, Fla. Both being avid Detroit Tigers fans, they held season tickets to the spring training games at Joker Marchant since 1998.

At her request she has been cremated and a celebration of her life will be held in August. A celebration for her friends in

Lakeland was held January 14, 2018.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cornerstone Hospice, 2445 Lane Park Road, Tavares, Fla., 32778, in her name.
