Patricia Bowles

Patricia Bowles, age 67 of Clinton, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, Dec. 29, 2013. She was born September 24, 1946 in Manila, Philippines, the daughter of Gerald and Gloria (Edora) Inman. On July 19, 1968 she married Jon Bowles and he survives.Pat was a Librarian Assistant for Clinton Community Schools for 17 years. She also was an active member of the Child Study Program in Clinton. Pat enjoyed reading, knitting, and going on cruises with her husband. She especially enjoyed spending time with her ten grandchildren.In addition to her husband, Jon, Pat is survived by her mother Gloria Inman of Clinton; three sons, Michael (Katherine) Bowles of Clinton; Tom (Danielle) Bowles; and Frank (Angela) Bowles; all of Clinton; a daughter, Sarah (Geoff) Austermiller of Saline; two sisters, Gloria Jean (Roger) Hadynak of Wayne-Westland; Darlene Grooms of Nashville, Tenn.; and ten grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father and two sisters Ruth Ann and Ida.Visitation will be held on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Clinton Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes. A Time of Remembrance and Celebration for Pat will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday with Pastor Bob Riddle officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Riverside Cemetery Chapel Fund or to the charity of the donor’s choice. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.handlerfuneralhomes.com.
