Patrick Raymond Connors Sr

Patrick Raymond Connors Sr., age 84, of Tecumseh, passed away Monday, Jan. 22, 2018, at his home. He was born July 20, 1933 to Raymond Connors and Ahlene Armbruster. On January 22, 1955 he married the love of his life, Sharon Wilcox.

Patrick attained a bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Toledo. For many years he was a history and social studies teacher, amongst his many other accomplishments at Deerfield High School, Boysville and Tecumseh High School. He was owner and operator of Connors Creative and Classic Catering since 1976.

In 2016 he was inducted into the Michigan High School Football Association Hall of Fame. In 2013 he was inducted into the Lenawee County Wrestling Hall of Fame. At Tecumseh High School he created the curriculum for his students, the history of Tecumseh that went above and beyond the classroom and the textbook. He also took his classes on bike tours around Tecumseh, stopping at many historical sites. He started the Student Assistance Program and the Parents Communication Network at Tecumseh High School.

Patrick is survived by his wife of 63 years, Sharon, and three children, Michael Connors, Ypsilanti, Timothy (Licia) Connors, Tecumseh and Kristin (Chuck) Froning, Commerce Twp; eleven grandchildren, Kate, Connor and Claire Rendi, Kevin, Kyle, Kolin and Kassidy Connors, Mike, Aaron and Rachel Connors and Briana (Roger) Kemp; three great-grandchildren, Jaxon Connors, Damian and Aviana Kemp. He was preceded by his parents, one son, Patrick, three brothers, Jim, George and Mike and two sisters, Cathy and Mary.

 Visitation for Patrick will be held on Thursday, Jan. 25, 2018, from 4-8 p.m. where a vigil prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. and again on Friday, Jan. 26, 2018 from 10 a.m. to the time of the service. A funeral liturgy will be held Friday, Jan. 26, 2018, at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church.
