Patriots pick up district title

Britton Deerfield gave up only two points in the Division 7 District Final at Dansville on Friday, Nov. 2, beating the Aggies 32-2 to advance to the Regional final against Detroit Loyola.After taking a 19-0 lead by the end of the first half, the Patriots gave the Aggies two points in the third quarter after snapping the ball out of the end zone on a punt attempt for a safety.The Patriots added another touchdown in the third quarter and finished all scoring in the fourth quarter with a final touchdown rush.BD rushed for 247 yards and passed for another 70. Dansville totaled just 54 rushing yards and added only 34 from the air.The Patriots (8-3) face Detroit Loyola’s undefeated (11-0) Bulldogs on Saturday, Nov. 10. The Bulldogs have totaled 510 points during the season while giving up 71 with four shutouts. BD has scored 306 points and allowed 111.The game, at Bishop Foley High School, starts at 1 p.m. sharp.
