Raymond “Ray” A. Orozco

Raymond “Ray” A. Orozco, age 53 of Tecumseh, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2014 in Lincoln Park, Mich. He was born on November 12, 1960 in Detroit, Mich., the son of Bob and Dorothy (Harp) Kerr. Ray worked in stores and transportation for the Detroit Edison Company and later went on to become self-employed offering his services in asphalt and seal coating. He had extensive knowledge regarding history and enjoyed taking in a good movie almost daily. Ray enjoyed taking on household projects and was very gifted mechanically.Surviving is his mother, Dorothy Kerr of Tecumseh; a brother, Mike Kerr of Tecumseh; a sister, Bobbi Kerr of Tecumseh; his niece Chelsea Henry of Tecumseh and a large extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins. Ray was preceded in death by his father, Bob Kerr, a brother, Daryl Kerr; his grandparents, Theodore and Hazel Brown and his uncle, Billy Ray Harp.A memorial service to celebrate Ray’s life was held at 12 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 29, 2014 at the Anderson Funeral Home, Tecumseh with Pastor Brian Jones of Solid Rock Church of Ann Arbor officiating. Ray’s ashes will be interred in Brookside Cemetery in Tecumseh at a later date. Family and friends were welcome to call or visit the funeral home on Monday from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
