Richard J. Frolich

Richard J. Frolich, age 81, of Tecumseh, Mich., passed away on Aug. 16, 2015, at St. Joseph Hospital in Ann Arbor, Mich. He was born on Dec. 27, 1933, to Alfred and Dorothy (Clark) Frolich in Clinton, Mich., where he spent most of his life and was a Clinton graduate.Richard worked over 30 years at Ford Motor Co. in Ypsilanti, Mich., and also worked at Clinton Engines and Tecumseh Products. Richard enjoyed going to the casino with his best friend, Nick Karapas and reminiscing about their Clinton football days. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping on the Raisin River in his younger days and was an avid Detroit Tigers fan until the very end. He is survived by his wife, Connie Frolich, his two stepsons, Shawn (Jennifer) Dreffs and Joseph Moore of Tecumseh, his step-grandchildren, Rylee and Connor Dreffs. He will be surely be missed by them all.Richard was blessed to have two loving wives, Jean, who preceded him in death after 50 years of marriage and his current wife, Connie of six years. Surviving from the marriage to Jean are his daughters, Susan (Gary) Allen, Sandra (Todd) McCaughey and Sheryl Bush; grandchildren, Richard, Marisa and Elizabeth Allen, Brad (Amber) Bush and Christy Hess; two great-grandchildren, Elliott Bush and Jett Hess; sisters Patty (Bill) Smith of Britton, Mich., Dorothy Schultz of Tipton, Mich., and Cyril Frolich of Brooklyn, Mich.; many nieces and nephews, and a very special nephew and friend, John (Debbie) Frolich of Addison, Mich. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Jean, and brothers, Theodore, Raymond, Leo and Wilfred Frolcih.Funeral services and interment will be private.
