Ricky LaVon Hand

Ricky LaVon Hand, age 56, of Ann Arbor, formerly of Tecumseh, passed away Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013, at the University of Michigan Medical Center. He was born March 1, 1957, in Adrian, to Jerry and Sharon Kay (Faust) Hand. He served in the US Navy. Ricky was a Resident Supervisor at the Theta Kai Fraternity at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Blissfield. He also was an avid Tigers Fan and enjoyed reading, cooking and gardening.Ricky is survived by his mother, Sharon, one brother, Terry (Heidi) Hand of Finland; four sisters, Robin Hand of Ann Arbor, Sherri (Joseph) Tuckey of Tecumseh, Lisa Hand of Tecumseh and Beatrice Merillat of Milan; grandmother, Dorothy Faust of Adrian, niece, Erin Tuckey of Tecumseh and nephew, Joseph Tuckey of Tecumseh. He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Hand; grandfather, Lawrence Faust; grandmother, Beatrice Hand and brother, Leroy.Funeral services for Ricky will be held on Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013, 11 a.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church with Pastor Gary Leking officiating. Visitation was held on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home, Tecumseh. Cremation will follow the service with burial of cremains at a later date in Brookside Cemetery.Condolences may be sent to the family at www.andersonfuneralservices.com.
