Robert Eugene Hoover
Robert Eugene Hoover, 74, passed onto heaven with his family by his side on Saturday, July 20, 2013. He was born in Tecumseh, Mich., on September 23, 1938, the son of Robert and Mildred Hoover. Robert E. Hoover graduated from Clinton High School in 1956 and continued his education at Olivet College. He shared the last 25 years with his soul mate and best friend Lou Goller.Robert was Manager of Shipping at Tecumseh Products until he retired in 2001. Robert was an active member of the Loyal Order of Moose and enjoyed hunting, golfing, and travelling.He is survived by his sons Donald Hoover and Michael Hoover; and his grandchildren Amber Hoover, John Hoover, Ashley Hoover, Hannah Hoover, Jessica Magnus (Hoover), Trevor Hoover, Tyler Hoover, and Taylor Hoover; and his great grandchildren Cambria, Gideon, and Gracie Marie.Visitation was held on Wednesday July 24, 2013, from 4-7 p.m., at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy (M-52) Adrian, Mich. The funeral service will be held at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Thursday July 25, 2013 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Frank Rupnik officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Clinton. Messages to the family may be made online at www.pursefuneralhome.com.
