Robert George Faber
Robert George Faber, age 82, of Tecumseh, died on Sunday, October 28, 2012, at his home. He was born April 25, 1930, in Detroit to Alex and Lidia (Bowman) Faber. On May 5, 1956, he married Beverly Ruth Boers in Warren, Michigan and she survives. Robert served in the U.S. Army from 1952-1953. He had been employed by Chrysler. He enjoyed amateur radios and boating. He attended St. John’s Lutheran Church.In addition to his wife, Beverly, he is survived by a daughter, Laura (Gregory) Hopkins of Tecumseh; four grandchildren; and a son, Todd Faber. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Gloria McPherson.Funeral services for Robert were held on Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012, at 3 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home, Tecumseh, with Pastor Joel Sarrault officiating, followed by cremation. Full Military Rites were conducted by the V.F.W. Hall Slater Post No. 4187 and the Tecumseh American Legion Underwood-Orr Post No. 34 at the Anderson Funeral Home, Tecumseh, following the service. Visitation was held on Wednesday from 1-2:45 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home, Tecumseh. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.andersonfuneralservices.com. Memorial contributions may be made to the family of Robert Faber. Envelopes are available at the Anderson Funeral Home, Tecumseh.
