Roberta D. Flack

Roberta D. Flack, age 77, of Tecumseh, passed away Dec. 16, 2015 at  Hospice of Lenawee.

She was born August 14, 1938, in Waukegan, Ill., the daughter of John and Edith (Bentley) Kolence. On June 15, 1957, in Ypsilanti, Mich., she married Roscoe Flack; he survives.

In addition to her husband, Roscoe, she is survived by her children, Tim L. (Pam) Flack, Tammy J. (Jim) Lynch, Victoria L. (Keith) Bowles and Rebecca A. (Brian) Isley; her grandchildren, Savannah, Sierra and Samantha Flack; Shane Lynch and Nathan Mueller; and her sisters, Alyce and Rosemary.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Joanie; and her son, Frederick. She was loved by all and will be missed by all.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 19, 2015 at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home with the Rev. Gordon Moore officiating.

She was interred in Forest Hill Cemetery in Ann Arbor, next to her son.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Lenawee or the Lenawee Humane Society.
