Rogina Chase

Rogina Chase, age 75 of Tecumseh, passed away surrounded by her family Saturday, December 15, 2012. She was born November 8, 1937 in Morenci, Michigan, the daughter of Cosper R. and Edith (Colegrove) Powell. On December 22, 1962 she married William E. Chase, sadly he preceded her in death. Rogina is survived by her daughter, Gloria (Mark) Kirk of Adrian; and grandchildren, Rachel L. and Benjamin C. Kirk.Rogina enjoyed quilting & sewing, jigsaw puzzles, and was an excellent baker, especially when it came to cookies & pumpkin rolls. Rogina worked at Wacker Chemical for 22 years, however for most of her life she was a wonderful homemaker, and enjoyed the time she spent with her family and friends.At Rogina’s request cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at the Tecumseh Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes, the family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. Inurnment of Rogina’s cremated remains will take place at Ridgeway Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Lenawee or the Charity of the Donor’s Choice. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.handlerfuneralhomes.com.
