Ruth (Pangborn) Allshouse

Ruth (Pangborn) Allshouse, 92, of Sarasota, Fla., formerly of Adrian, Mich., died peacefully January 14, 2014 at Sarasota Memorial Hospital. She was born January 6, 1922 in Adrian to Harry C. and Rose Marie (Hines) Pangborn. She was a graduate of Adrian High School Class of 1939. On Christmas Day 1941 she married Orville Allshouse. Ruth worked at Bixby Hospital and retired in 1986.Ruth was a busy mom raising her family of eight children. She is survived by three sons, David Allshouse of Spokane, Wash., Gary (Patricia) Allshouse of Willis, Texas and Patrick (Tracy) Allshouse of Brandon, Fla.; four daughters, Mary Lou (Paul) Dangler of Sarasota, Fla., Sherron Tornow of Adrian, Mich., Roberta Robinson of Santa Cruz, Calif., and Rebecca (Daniel) Beaubien of Adrian, Mich.Ruth also had a great love for her nine grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her son Mark Allshouse, husband Orville Allshouse, her sister Dorothy (Pete) Geborawski, and sisters-in-laws Louise (Medford) Palmer, Ione (Chester) Baker and Berneda (Richard) Allshouse.The family would like to thank everyone at Heartland North of the compassionate care she enjoyed the last few years. Condolences may be sent to the family at At Ruth’s request there will be no visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of Anderson Funeral Home of Tecumseh, Mich.
