Shirley (Jordan) Hagopian
Shirley (Jordan) Hagopian, age 80, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2016 in Tecumseh, Mich.
She was born on October 21, 1935 in Windsor Ontario, Canada, the daughter of William and Mary (Blair) Jordan. On May 30, 1959, Shirley married Haig Hagopian in Detroit and he survives.
Shirley was a member of The Covenant Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Tecumseh, Mich., and very active with the Britton and Tecumseh Seniors Citizens Group. She was a generous, loving, spirit who volunteered with Hospice of Lenawee, Tecumseh Library and the New Hope Thrift Store.
Shirley is survived by her loving husband, Haig; her daughters, Lori (Daniel) Gougeon of Huntersville, N.C., and Maureen (Jerry) Barley of Tipton, Mich.; four grandchildren, Jerred and Jackie Barley, Jordan and Grant Gougeon; and her brother, Bill (Pat) Jordan of Harbor Springs, Mich.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral Service for Shirley will be held on Friday, Jan. 22, 2016 at The Covenant Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Tecumseh, Mich., at 12:30 p.m. with Rev. Richard Mortimer officiating. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. before the service.
Burial will be private at Huron Valley Cemetery in Flat Rock, Mich.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Lenawee or The Covenant Church.
